Medical facility located in Laguna Beach, CA is looking for a qualified and experienced Physician Assistant for part-time work as contract worker. Must be comfortable treating all ages (Pediatric to Adults).
Must be comfortable:
- Able to work independently while recognizing when physician input is appropriate
- Managing typical urgent care visits such as (and not limited to): Laceration, I&D, fractures, URI, UTI, STDs, PNAs, Otitis Media/External, Allergic reactions, Rashes, Pre-Op examinations and school physical exams
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests (X-rays, point of care tests, etc)
- Strong knowledge of vital signs monitoring and interpretation
- Ability to perform thorough physical examinations
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and protocols
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices
- Skill in phlebotomy techniques for blood sample collection
- Competence in airway management techniques
Skills must include:
- I&Ds
- Laceration Repairs
- X-ray interpretation
- EKG interpretation
- Ortho, Splinting
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of urgent care experience prefered (New grads also welcome)
- Computer/EMR skills (Mac and Windows)
- Current CA State Physician Assistant license
- DEA Certificate
- Computer/EMR skills (Mac and Windows)
- ACLS/BLS
- Excellent organizational skills
- Personable, friendly, professional appearance and attitude
License/Certification:
- PA Licence (Required)
