(Login for Information) Medical Group is looking for a compassionate, caring? Advanced Practice Provider to work as a Primary Care APP with an interest in Sports Medicine t work in our Family Medicine Faculty practice and to provide primary health care and perform selective medical services under the direction of practice physicians and APP. This position is located in Coastal, NC. (Wilmington).
To support a new Request for Proposal (RFP) partnership between UNCW, (Login for Information), and EmergeOrtho for physician services dedicated to university athletic programs. This APP will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of comprehensive sports medicine care across two primary settings: 50% – UNCW Athletics Support: The APP will work directly with the Head Team Physician (a Family Medicine–trained Sports Medicine physician) to provide medical coverage for student-athletes. Responsibilities will include injury evaluation and management, sideline/event coverage, coordination of care, and assisting with return-to-play decisions. This support is essential to meet the clinical and operational demands of the athletic program under the new RFP. 50% – Family Medicine Musculoskeletal Clinic: The APP will provide outpatient clinical support with a mix of MSK, walk-in, and possibly assisting in routine WCC exams. This includes evaluating and managing acute and chronic MSK conditions, supporting procedural care, improving patient access, and enhancing clinic efficiency.
