Inpatient/Outpatient Neurology Physician Assistant Job-Affluent Boston Suburb

A respected healthcare organization serving communities just outside Boston is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its growing Neurology team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PA who enjoys both the fast pace of hospital-based neurology and the continuity of caring for patients in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

Inpatient Care (Approximately 20%)

• Evaluate and manage neurology consults throughout the hospital
• Round on patients admitted with acute neurological conditions
• Assist with stroke care management and treatment protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and care management teams to support safe patient transitions

Outpatient Care (Approximately 80%)

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of neurological conditions, including migraines, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, and cognitive disorders
• Provide post-hospital follow-up appointments
• Develop long-term treatment plans and monitor patient progress
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including MRI, CT, and EEG testing

Schedule

• Full-time, five days per week
• No call requirements
• No weekends
• No holidays
• Daily schedule includes both hospital rounding and outpatient clinic responsibilities

Qualifications Required

• Current Physician Assistant license in Massachusetts or ability to obtain
• NCCPA certification
• DEA registration
• BLS and ACLS certification
• At least one year of neurology experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
• Previous inpatient clinical experience
