Nurse Practitioner — Full-Time, Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living

(Login for Information) is a physician-led geriatric practice serving residents in skilled nursing and assisted living communities. We are hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner to be the daily on-site clinical presence at two neighboring communities in Kansas City, Kansas, with occasional coverage at nearby sister facilities. This is a dedicated long-term care role, not a clinic position.

WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY IS — so there are no surprises:

You will be on-site, in the buildings, five days a week. You will see skilled and rehab patients several times a week, admit new patients, and manage a panel of long-term care and assisted living residents alongside a supervising physician. The work is hands-on, relationship-driven, and fast-moving — census turns over, families need answers, and facility staff rely on you to be present and responsive. You will drive between two communities located across the street from each other, and occasionally to nearby buildings.

WHO THRIVES HERE:

A nurse practitioner who genuinely enjoys older adults and end-of-stage care, who is comfortable making sound independent clinical decisions with physician backup a phone call away, and who is at ease with technology — we document in an electronic health record and are actively adopting tools that make charting faster and more accurate. Prior nursing home experience is welcome but not required; we will train the right person who brings strong judgment and the right temperament.
