Job Description
Medical Center seeking Locum Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
--Schedule:
Orientation – Aug 10 and/or Aug 30 7a-3pm 8 hour day
Aug 11 7a-3pm 8 hour day + week night beeper call 14 hours
Aug 12 7a-3pm 8 hour day + week night beeper call 14 hours
Aug 13 7a-3pm 8 hour day + week night beeper call 14 hours
--Support Staff: Surgeon
--Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: 4 days, 7a-3p plus call 3p-7a
--Patients per day: 10-15 CVICU/step down patients, plus 1-2 surgeries
--Patient Population/Age: adult/geron
--Department Description: CT Surgery
--EMR: Cerner
--Special Procedures: temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, Aline placement
--Skills Required: recent cardiothoracic surgery, proficient with EVH
--Required: Minimum Experience: 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH
PA: Graduate of an NCCPA-approved PA program, NCCPA certified or certification-eligible, Licensed or eligible for PA licensure in Arizona, DEA, ACLS and BLS (AHA)
NP: Master's in Nursing + graduate of an Acute Care NP program, Completion of an RN/NP First Assistant program, Current unrestricted Arizona APRN license, DEA, ANCC or AANP certification (Medical-Surgical or NP), ACLS and BLS (AHA)
