Seeking a full time Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner for an outpatient private practice in Asheville, NC
Experienced PA/NP that has primary care and urgent/emergent care experience. People centered and personable- knows how to make our customers feel cared for. Comfortable with HER use, charting, billing and coding. Willing to work some weekends and take occasional telephone triage call. Interested in continued learning about proactive health strategies including nutrition, fitness, stress management, and other lifestyle influencers of health. Enjoys working as part of a team and has a strong sense of responsibility about patient care. They must sincerely enjoy caring for people.
Duties to include:
Acute care overflow- evaluating and treating musculoskeletal injuries, laceration repair, drain abscesses, treat various infections, eval chest pain, abdominal pain, headaches and other acute care issues. Able to perform basic interpretations of x-rays, blood tests, and ecg. Able to perform pelvic exams and pap smears.
Management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, COPD/asthma, migraines, anxiety, depression, sleep issues, IBS, etc..Willing to learn preventative care measures so that they can perform sports physicals and well adult exams.
Techniques/ Specialty utilized:
ED skills such as laceration repair, treatment of abscesses, pelvic exams, pap smears, simple office based procedures
Office hours and days candidate will work:
Flexible- 4-5 days a week- 6-9 hours per day. Some weekdays and some weekends.
Salary (range): 50-60 per hour
Bonus compensation: Productivity available if exceeding established benchmarks
