PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT — EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | Tampa Bay Area

Join a Physician-Owned Emergency Medicine Group

(Login for Information) (EMA) is an independent, physician-owned, and democratically operated emergency medicine group serving patients throughout the Tampa Bay area.

We are currently seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our growing emergency medicine team at our affiliated hospitals:

  • St. Joseph’s Hospital Main — Tampa
  • St. Joseph’s Hospital North — Lutz
  • St. Joseph’s Hospital South — Riverview
  • BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel

Our practice provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced emergency physicians and multidisciplinary teams in a variety of clinical environments, including community hospitals, trauma centers, and stroke centers.

An Opportunity for Experienced PAs and New Graduates

Whether you are an experienced emergency medicine PA or a new graduate looking to begin your career in emergency medicine, EMA offers an environment designed to help you succeed.

New graduates are welcome — comprehensive training and support are provided.

For experienced Emergency Medicine PAs, EMA offers a sign-on bonus and the opportunity to become part of an established, physician-led emergency medicine practice.

Your Role

As a Physician Assistant with EMA, you will:

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to a diverse patient population.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad range of acute medical conditions.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Manage patients across a wide range of medical and surgical specialties.
  • Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  • Promote patient safety, quality care, and continuity of care.
  • Thrive in both community and higher-acuity emergency medicine environments.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Florida
  • NCCPA certification preferred/required as applicable

  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care

We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities
  • Training and mentorship for new graduates
  • Sign-on bonus for experienced Emergency Medicine PAs
