Job Description

MUSC Health is seeking board-certified/board-eligible emergency medicine physicians to join the team at our new clinical location, MUSC Health Garners Ferry Freestanding Emergency Department in Columbia, South Carolina. Opened in June 2026, this innovative facility represents MUSC Health's commitment to expanding convenient, high-quality care throughout the Midlands. As MUSC's first location to combine 24/7 emergency medicine and urgent care services under one roof, clinician enjoy a unique practice environment that delivers timely, patient-centered care to residents, military families, and visitors throughout the Columbia area.

Facility Highlights
  • 14 treatment beds with 5 fast track beds and 1 dedicated trauma room
  • 12-hour physician shifts
  • Approximately 55-60 patients per day
  • APC support
  • Epic EMR
  • Onsite CT, ultrasound, X-ray, and full laboratory services
  • Flexible scheduling options: full-time, part-time, and PRN openings 

Who We're Looking For
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board-certified/board-eligible in EM
  • Eligible for South Carolina medical licensure and DEA
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
