Job Description

HCA Florida West Hospital is seeking ABEM board-certified or board-eligible emergency medicine physicians to join a well-established EM program serving both a main hospital emergency department and multiple affiliated freestanding EDs in the Pensacola, Florida, area.

Physicians will be expected to participate in teaching, with additional compensation provided. Medical students rotate through the department from Florida State University.

HCA Florida West Hospital - Main ED
  • 306-bed hospital
  • ~65,000 annual ED visits
  • 39 ED beds
  • 1.6 to 2.0 patients/hour
  • Physician coverage: 48 hours/day
  • APC coverage: 64 hours/day
  • 8 to 9 hour shifts (days and nights)
  • EMR: Meditech Expanse
  • Bedside ultrasound available
  • Non-trauma center
  • Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS
  • Hospitalist team: (Login for Information)
 
Perdido Bay FSED
  • ~30,000 annual visits
  • 24-hour physician coverage
  • APC support
  • 12-hour shifts 

Pea Ridge FSED
  • ~18,000 annual visits
  • 24-hour physician coverage
  • 12-hour shifts
 
Pine Forest FSED
  • ~15,000 annual visits
  • 24-hour physician coverage
  • 12-hour shifts
