Position Highlights
- Dedicated overnight schedule (8pm - 6am)
- 90 to 120 hours per month
- 16-bed emergency department
- Approximately 22,000 annual ED visits
- Medium- to high-acuity patient population
- Cerner EMR
- 17% admission rate
- Stroke and STEMI Center
- Strong specialty backup including: interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, gastroenterology, pediatrics, psychiatry, general surgery, nephrology, stroke neurology, OB/Gyn, orthopedics, and urology
- Credentialing typically completed in approximately 90 days
Compensation and Benefits
- Independent contractor (1099) status, must have S-Corp in CA
- Competitive compensation with an estimated salary range of $300 - $360 hourly
- Paid professional liability insurance with tail coverage
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in emergency medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) preferred
- Active California medical license, or ability to obtain prior to start
- Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
- Demonstrated recent EM practice meeting hospital privileging requirements
