The Department of Surgery operates within a comprehensive health system that provides neurosurgical services across multiple care settings. The facility maintains modern surgical suites and outpatient clinic spaces to support the full spectrum of neurosurgical care. The department utilizes Epic EMR system for integrated patient management and documentation.

New Hampshire offers diverse attractions centered around mountain railways and scenic drives, including recreational destinations such as Hampton Beach, Lake Winnipesaukee, and mountain resorts. The region features natural formations and scenic touring opportunities alongside educational sites and seasonal attractions for year-round activities.

The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive neurosurgical coverage working under the partnership of one neurosurgeon. Responsibilities include managing inpatient cases (10% of time), conducting outpatient clinic visits (40% of time), and participating in operating room procedures (50% of time). The clinician will handle 2-3 OR cases per day three times per week and see 12-18 patients per day in clinic for 1-2 days per week. Board certification and prescriptive authority are required for this position.
