Pediatric General Surgery NP Locums Job in Utah | 40 Hours/Week | Beginning ASAP - Ongoing | Assignment #115030

Coverage Details
-- 2-3 Providers needed
-- 40 hours per week
-- Three 12-hour shifts (days and/or nights) plus 4 hours for meetings
-- Day shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
-- Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
-- Additional day shift option: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
-- Dual facility location
-- Duration: 6–12 months

Requirements
-- Board Certified
-- BLS, PALS, ATLS
-- Eligible for DEA and controlled substance registration (Schedules II–V)
-- Epic EMR experience required
-- Inpatient pediatric general surgery/trauma experience required
-- Experience with primary and secondary trauma surveys required

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Removal of chest tubes and surgical drains (Blake, JP, Penrose)
-- Gastric tube replacement
-- Dilation of gastrostomy tracts
-- Simple laceration repair
-- Anal dilation procedures
-- Rectal irrigations
-- First assist in the OR as needed

Assignment Details
-- Average volume: 7–10 patients per shift
-- High-acuity environment requiring flexibility
-- Pediatric patient population
-- Support staff includes MA, LPN, RN, NP/PA
-- Trauma activations: Levels 1–3
-- Scheduled breaks included
-- Opportunity for additional shifts with approval
