Cardiothoracic Surgery PA Locums Job in Nebraska | Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call | Beginning April 20 – Ongoing | Assignment #113719

Open dates needed: May 18 – June 07 

Coverage Details
-- Monday–Friday operative coverage with some clinic responsibilities
-- Scheduled hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
-- Night call begins at 5:00 PM
-- Reason for coverage: Maternity leave
-- Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days (can be expedited if needed)

Call Details
-- Nightly operative call required
-- Weekend call required
-- When assigned to coverage, provider is on call every night
-- Call volume dependent on surgical schedule

Requirements
-- NCCPA
-- Nebraska license (highly preferred)
-- Non-licensed candidates considered if able to obtain license by April
-- ACLS
-- BLS
-- DEA
-- Clean malpractice history (highly preferred)

-- Operative support for routine cardiothoracic and cardiac cases
-- CABG with
  -- EVH
  -- AVR, MVR
  -- Pericardial window
  -- VATS
  -- Thoracotomy
  -- AV fistula
  -- Permacath
  -- Carotid endarterectomy
  -- Lower extremity bypass
  -- AAA
  -- Lower extremity angiogram
  -- PD catheter placement
  -- BKA, AKA
  -- Inari, EKOS
  -- Vein ablation
  -- Wound debridement

Assignment Details
-- Setting: Academic medical center
-- Duties: Operative first assist and EVH for cardiothoracic cases; routine vascular and thoracic cases
-- Service lines: Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery (combined service with cross-coverage required)
-- Support staff: CVOR rad techs, scrub techs, circulating nurses, and CVOR anesthesia
-- Trauma level: Level I
-- EMR: EPIC
