Cardiothoracic Surgery PA Locums Job in Michigan | 5x8s Days + Call | Beginning June 8, 2026 - Ongoing | Assignment #114867

Coverage Details
-- Coverage beginning June 8, 2026 – ongoing
-- Three locations
-- Multiple locum providers requested

Shift Details
-- Schedule: 5x8s, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
-- 1–2 weekday call shifts
-- Weekend call approximately once every four weeks
-- Call coverage from 3:00 PM – 6:00 AM
-- Callbacks commonly occur, averaging 4–6 hours every other weekend

Requirements
-- APP credential (DNP, NP, or PA)
-- Minimum of 2 years CVOR experience
-- Willingness to be privileged and float between all three facilities
-- Ability to precept and train new hires as needed
-- Supervising physician on site
-- Active state license not required; open to out-of-state candidates

Required Procedures / Skills
-- First assisting in CVOR surgical procedures

Assignment Details
-- Practice setting: Inpatient
-- Department: CVOR APP
-- Types of coverage: Scheduled clinical hours and call
-- Support staff: 4 APPs onsite (reducing to 3 effective June 11) and 2 surgeons
-- APPs assist in operating room procedures only
-- Priority of job: Critical
-- Providers must have flexibility to work across all three hospitals based on operational needs
