This 383-bed hospital in Northern Kentucky maintains a census between 25-40 patients regularly, with capacity reaching up to 50 patients during peak periods. The facility typically schedules 2-4 surgeries per physician daily across all weekdays and employs 3 Physician Associates who first assist in surgery and take call coverage, along with 3 additional APRNs who manage office patient visits Monday through Thursday each week.

The state provides outdoor recreational activities such as cruises, boat tours, canoe and kayak excursions, and horseback riding experiences. Visitors can participate in interactive activities like scavenger hunts in Lexington that utilize mobile applications to explore urban areas and complete challenges.

The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery coverage working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM with 1 week per month of Monday through Thursday weeknight call from 5 PM to 7 AM as 2nd Call/Backup. The clinician will assist with cardiothoracic surgery procedures and vascular components, with limited rounding responsibilities. The role involves collaboration with 3 Physician Associates who provide first assist services and 3 APRNs who handle office consultations Monday through Thursday. All documentation must be completed using the EPIC EMR system for patient encounters and surgical procedures.
