Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Locums Job | West Columbia, South Carolina | June 28 Start
A facility in South Carolina is seeking locum PMHNP coverage to support a 64-bed residential treatment center in West Columbia. This is a dynamic opportunity with a team that values clinical flexibility and collaborative, patient-centered care.
Schedule: 7 on / 7 off | 11-hour shifts. Up to 2 locums PMHNPs may be brought on alongside 4 existing NPs on staff. PRN availability is also welcome. The facility is actively recruiting permanent providers and is looking for a locums partner who can flex with them as that process unfolds.
Patient Population:Adolescents ages 11–17 presenting with acute psychiatric stabilization, substance use disorders, dual diagnosis, and co-occurring conditions.
Level of Care:Inpatient psychiatry with outpatient and step-down programming (IOP/PHP structure), medical detox, and substance treatment services. The organization has plans to expand into a Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient Program in the near future, making this an exciting time to get involved.
Daily Responsibilities:Daily rounding on inpatient units, timely admissions and follow-ups, medication management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, therapists, and nursing staff. Providers will also support treatment team meetings twice weekly, maintain clinical documentation, and contribute to program growth and quality initiatives.
