Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Locums Job in Augusta, Georgia

A behavioral health facility in Augusta, Georgia is seeking a PMHNP to provide locum tenens coverage across its inpatient behavioral health programs. This is a strong opportunity to join a well-supported, multidisciplinary team in a structured and flexible clinical environment.

Schedule (subject to change) 7 on / 7 off | 11-hour shifts | 15–20 patient case load. The facility is open to candidates with partial availability as needs fluctuate.

About the FacilityA comprehensive behavioral health facility serving children, adolescents, and adults across multiple levels of care. The 47-bed facility includes 28 inpatient beds (adult and child/adolescent), 9 residential beds (child/adolescent), and 10 partial hospitalization slots across all ages. The center emphasizes evidence-based treatment, multidisciplinary collaboration, and whole-patient recovery.

Patient PopulationA diverse mix of children, adolescents, and adults presenting with acute psychiatric conditions, dual diagnosis, and substance use needs across varying acuity levels.

Daily ResponsibilitiesPsychiatric evaluations and medication management for inpatient populations, daily rounding, interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, care planning, discharge planning, and EMR documentation. Providers work closely with psychiatrists, nursing staff, and therapists throughout the care continuum.
