About the Clinician's WorkdayThe nurse practitioner will deliver comprehensive medical oncology services in an outpatient clinic setting, managing 20 new consultations and overseeing complex oncology care including bone marrow transplant management and blood bank activities. Daily responsibilities include ordering diagnostic tests and imaging studies, prescribing medications, and coordinating treatment plans for adult and geriatric oncology patients. The position requires day shift coverage with call responsibilities one rotation every 5-6 weeks, maintaining accurate electronic documentation and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Board certification and prescriptive authority are mandatory requirements for this oncology specialist role.
