Oncology PA Locums Job in South Carolina | Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call | Beginning ASAP - End of September | Assignment #114538

Coverage Details
-- Coverage dates: as soon as credentialed – September 30, 8:30am–4:30pm
-- Credentialing time frame: Estimated 60 days

Shift Details
-- Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm
-- Call Schedule: First call for patient and hospital phone calls Tuesday 4:30pm–8:00am and Friday 4:30pm–Monday 8:00am
-- On-site inpatient rounding Saturday and Sunday
-- Call rotation: One rotation every 5–6 weeks, dependent on staffing

Requirements
-- Board Certified in hematology and oncology
-- Active South Carolina license (will accept providers needing to obtain a state license)
-- BLS
-- DEA

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Management of bone marrow transplants
-- Blood bank management
-- Orders tests
-- Orders imaging
-- Prescribes

Assignment Details
-- Practice setting: Free-standing cancer center
-- Patient population: Adult and geriatric
-- Case mix: 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology
-- Number of physicians in practice: 8
-- Number of APPs providing coverage: 4
-- Average outpatient volume: 15 patients per day
-- Average inpatient/call volume: 20 patients per day
-- Clinical areas: Oncology outpatient and inpatient settings
-- Administration of chemotherapy performed by nurse oncologist
-- EMR: Epic
