About the Clinician's WorkdayThe Physician Assistant will treat both scheduled and walk-in work-related injuries and urgent care patients in an outpatient clinic setting, working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with no call requirements. The clinician will diagnose and treat occupational injuries, perform DOT certifications and pre-placement physical examinations for various employers and governmental agencies, and evaluate urgent care patients on a walk-in basis. The position involves maintaining an average caseload of 20-25 patients per day with 90% occupational medicine cases and 10% urgent care, completing all documentation using AllScripts EMR system, and communicating with employers regarding patient care plans. The clinician will participate in a one-week orientation period alongside a permanent physician before working independently and may oversee and collaborate with advanced practice providers in the clinic.
