Obstetrics - NP job located in Abilene, Texas

Join a high-functioning, collaborative hospital medicine team as a full-time nocturnist physician assistant with (Login for Information) at a 522-bed regional referral center serving the Texas Midwest. We are actively seeking a motivated nocturnist APC to step into a well-supported role focused on primary admissions and cross-coverage. You'll work alongside an experienced, team-based nocturnist model with strong physician and APC collaboration.

Position Highlights

• 7-on/7-off schedule (7pm-7am): enjoy true work-life balance
• Average ~15 shifts/month, with optional extra shifts available
• Team-based model with a swing shift physician (1pm-1am), swing shift APC (9am-9pm, and 2 overnight APCs supporting admissions and floor coverage
• 10-12 admissions per night (shared); most seen collaboratively
• APCs manage a significant portion of cross-coverage, allowing efficient workflow
• Exposure to low, moderate, and high acuity patients

Clinical Environment

• Closed ICU with dedicated intensivists
• Strong support during codes (ED physicians respond; ICU manages their own)
• Procedures optional; ED physicians available for assistance
• Broad specialty support within the hospital
