Seeking Advanced Practice Provider to join Hematology Oncology team. Responsible for practicing in 2 locations 32 Clinical hours 4 administrative hours, with remote flexibility No after-hours call coverage required 4 MDand#8217;s on staff; responsible for supporting all 4. Perform a variety of duties in the evaluation, treatment plan and care, diagnoses and follow-up of assigned patients. Responsible for history, physicals, admissions, coordination and symptom management of hormonal therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy and shared radiation therapy patients. Responsible for obtaining patient consents, providing daily care including order chemotherapy, referring to other specialties, discharging, transferring and responding to patients and families. Responsible for chemotherapy / infusion room coverage on the site assigned for the day Develop knowledge of the solid tumor and hematology malignancies and blood disorders, of the disease processes, and of the treatment and management modalities across the cancer-care continuum. As an intricate member of the team, the AP must be able to successfully collaborate with other disciplines including but not limited to other internal or external medical or surgical specialties, social work, nursing, palliative care, psychiatry, pharmacy, research and nutrition. The AP will also become familiar with common complications experienced by hematology and oncology patients and gain expertise regarding appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. Qualifications: Graduate of a Masterand#8217;s in Nursing program or a Physician Assistant program Certification and current NP or PA license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts DEA MCSR About the area:Youand#8217;re never very far from the beach when youand#8217;re in Gloucester.
