Womens Health NP Locums Job in Colorado | Clinic + Call | Beginning May 1 – Ongoing | Assignment #114963

Coverage Details
-- Clinic schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
-- Call schedule: 1 in 5 days; 1 in 10 overnight and weekend
-- Some hospital coverage required
-- Full-time coverage preferred

Requirements
-- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
-- Colorado state license - highly preferred
-- BLS
-- ACLS
-- NRP
-- OB/GYN experience

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Low-risk pregnancy management including patients with pre-existing problems, history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis, and hyperemesis
-- Fetal heart rate interpretation including NST, CST, and FSE
-- Level I screening and viability assessments
-- Routine deliveries including vaginal delivery, low forceps, and decision-making for C-section
-- Complicated deliveries including C-section, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
-- VBACs
-- Repair of third- and fourth-degree lacerations

Preferred Experience
-- High-risk pregnancy including patients with toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher cardiac conditions, chronic lung problems, and chronic renal disease
-- Performs OB ultrasounds
-- Interprets OB ultrasounds
-- Level II / targeted (anatomic) ultrasounds
-- Office and minor gynecology procedures including IUDs, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP

Assignment Details
-- Clinic patient volume: Approximately 20 patients per physician per day
-- Average deliveries per physician: 3 per week
-- Average GYN surgeries: 8 per week
-- Case mix: 70% low-risk OB, 10% high-risk OB, 30% C-sections, 10% office GYN, 10% surgical GYN
-- Group size: 5 OB/GYN physicians, 2 mid-level providers
-- Locum expected to supervise other providers: No
-- Other OB/GYNs present during coverage: Yes
-- Onsite services: Lab and ultrasound (performed by technician)
-- Exam rooms: 11
-- Support staff: 2 RNs, 1 LPN, 6 MAs, 3 patient access specialists, 1 surgery scheduler
-- Office equipment includes colonoscopy, LEEP, ultrasound, and NST
-- Facility trauma level: Level I
