About the Practice and their Mission

Tennessee Oncology seeks a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant working in Palliative/Hospice Care to join our extensive, well-established, physician-led, and managed group practice in Chattanooga, TN. Palliative Care/Hospice Experience Preferred.

The education and experience of our physicians and healthcare team enable us to provide access to high-quality cancer care and the expertise of clinical research for all patients at convenient locations within their community and close to their homes. The practice offers Hematology/Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, and Clinical trial & Research Programs.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

  • Current Knowledge of Oncology and Primary Care.
  • Ability to Work Independently.
  • A license to practice as an RN or PA in the state of Tennessee is required.
  • A master’s degree in nursing or certification as a Physician Assistant is required.
  • National certification as APP (American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners) or Clinical Nurse Specialist who meets the criteria for a certificate of fitness to prescribe medications, including AOCN, AOCNP, AOCNS, or Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required.
  • Board Certification as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN) is preferred.
  • Minimum of One-Year Oncology Nurse Experience
  • Minimum of one year as a CRNP Practicing Palliative Care
