Role Description The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan in an on-site setting in Statesboro, GA. This full-time role includes performing health assessments, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing appropriate medications and therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations. The FNP will provide preventive care, health education, and counseling, including wellness visits, chronic disease management, and immunizations. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with physicians and other clinicians, documenting encounters in the electronic health record, coordinating care and referrals, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The FNP will also respond to same-day and urgent care needs, support care continuity, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Nurse Practitioner practice and Nursing, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Experience in Primary Care, providing care across the lifespan and managing common acute and chronic conditions.
- Knowledge of general Medicine principles, evidence-based guidelines, and clinical decision-making in an outpatient setting.
- Ability to manage Urgent Care needs, including triage, stabilization, and appropriate referrals for higher-level care when needed.
- Current, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or equivalent advanced practice license in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain before start date).
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (e.g., AANP or ANCC) required or eligible within a defined timeframe.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills, with a commitment to culturally competent and inclusive care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and to manage a diverse patient panel efficiently.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
