Job Description
A reputable 310-bed full-service, acute care hospital located 30 miles North of Boston is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join its Emergency Department team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality emergency care across two campuses located just 10 minutes apart, while working in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Position Highlights
- 0.85 FTE (34 clinical hours/week)
- Mix of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
- Rotating days, evenings, and overnights (schedules designed with clustered shifts where possible)
- Shared Meditech EHR across both campuses for seamless coordination of care
- Provide direct emergency care to patients across all acuity levels
- Perform histories, physical exams, diagnostic interpretation, and procedures within APP scope
- Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, nurses, and consulting services
- Contribute to patient safety, throughput, and quality benchmarks
Qualifications
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of active Emergency Department practice (post-training)
- Proficiency in common ED procedures (suturing, splinting, I&D, fracture management, etc.)
- Strong commitment to evidence-based care, teamwork, and patient-centered service
